HOA Board Meeting Minutes 2021-09-13

Meeting opened with the discussion of Action Items

Action items list:

• Neighborhood Sign – Randy did reach out to Ben’s contact, hasn’t heard back and will follow up.  Ben’s wife can help follow up and make calls if needed.
• Least healthy tree replacement – Brooke to follow up.  Randy is willing to take the old tree out.  We can contact the city to ensure we have lined out water lines, power etc.
• Neighborhood walk through –  If we saw things unkempt from the sidewalk and tried to remain fair and reasonable.  10 addresses were noted.  We ended up not sending any letters because the majority of people got things cleaned up.  Randy will chat with the 1 house that has the dead bush that needs to be removed.
• Berry bushes in the wetland area – Randy said he contacted Tim’s landscaping.  He contacted them twice and hasn’t heard back yet.  Randy to follow up again. 
  Side note: John talked to Tim’s and they said they’ve been working on it.
• Sprinklers – Water being on in the areas between sidewalk and road – Brooke will take a walk in the morning and take note of any areas still wet.  Does Tim’s have someone to see where Pipes are going and how to turn off?  Randy to check with Tim’s.

Open Discussion:

• Underground sprinklers in strips between sidewalk and the road – When Mark H was on the HOA board he had agreed to have the water (underground sprinklers) be hooked up and made an agreement that the HOA would pay for the “extra water used” with a few houses that this water source was linked to and would be automatically billed to.  We believe that most of the areas have been turned off but not all.  
• Ben brought up turning off the underground sprinkler system as we are not using it. He is going to check into how to go about that and once that is lined out he will in turn share that with the 3 or so other houses that have the underground sprinklers hooked to their water source so they can have it shut off as well.  
• Randy to check w/ Tim’s landscaping to see if they do sprinkler work and will also ask Tim’s to take the water maintenance with the sprinklers taken off our contract w/ Tim’s.
• We will plan to use gators for the trees as they are less than a ⅓ of the price for actually having the sprinklers on.
